Tsinghua Southeast Asia Center is a renowned institution dedicated to fostering academic, cultural, and economic ties between China, Southeast Asia, and Beyond. Our center serves as a hub for research, collaboration, and knowledge exchange, facilitating a deeper understanding of the historical, political, economic, and cultural dynamics that shape the relationship between these regions. With a focus on Indonesia, Southeast Asia and Beyond, as well as those participating in the Belt and Road Initiative, we aim to meet the demands of Industry 4.0 and contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Established in 2018, Tsinghua SEA is the result of a collaboration between Tsinghua University and United in Diversity.
The UID Bali Campus in Kura-Kura SEZ was inaugurated on 16th November 2022 during the G20 Bali.

Our Campus Tour
The architectural concept embraces a passive design sustainable approach, featuring a semi-open structure with natural ventilation. The building’s design combines new and traditional materials to enhance sustainability throughout its lifecycle and reduce “embodied carbon.”
