Learn more about Tsinghua SEA
Being an important component of Tsinghua University’s global strategic layout, the Tsinghua Southeast Asia Center (Tsinghua SEA) was established in October 2018 and held its opening ceremony on November 16, 2022 in Bali, Indonesia. The Tsinghua SEA is a collaboration of Tsinghua University and United In Diversity Foundation. The campus covers an area of 17,000 square meters, and the 5,500 square meters of space in the main building is used by the center, which can accommodate more than 300 people working and studying at the same time.

Tsinghua SEA is based in Indonesia and radiates throughout the entire Southeast Asian region, with extensive connections to Southeast Asian politics, business, universities, academic institutions, and international organizations. With the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals as the core, it aims to build a knowledge and learning center for cooperation, innovation, co-creation, and sharing. As a key project and implementable platform for global development initiatives at Tsinghua University, Tsinghua SEA will continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the Southeast Asian region in areas such as health, poverty reduction, education, digital economy, climate change, and green development, working towards a more harmonious and inclusive global community.
